With over 600+ successful students passing through our classes over the years you can be sure of the quality of the teaching on offer. We provide a comprehensive package that covers more than just the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) syllabus, giving you the knowledge to sail safely and with confidence.
Licensed by the RYA the courses allow students living locally to obtain both the Day Skipper or Yachtmaster Shore-based qualifications, before proceeding on to their practical assessments at sea.
The RYA Day Skipper and Yachtmaster courses run from October through to May. Located at St Thomas More Catholic Academy in Longton as part of their Outreach Programme the courses start in October each year and run for an average of 23 weeks, usually on a Tuesday evening each session lasting 2 hours, covering all aspects of boat handling, navigation, chartwork along with safety.
